Donna Davies

Director

Donna Davies is an award-winning writer, producer and director from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Davies has made dozens of films that have toured festivals internationally and aired on CBC, Bravo, The Movie Network, IFC, HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Starz and EPIX.

Davies began making films at the Island Media Arts Co-op and the Atlantic Filmmakers Co-op and later finessed her skills at the NFB. Her long list of credits include a number of dramatic shorts including Gasoline Puddles and A Space for Sara and feature documentaries including Kitchen Goddess, A Sigh and A Wish, and Nightmare Factory, which won numerous international awards including Best Documentary Feature at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival, Award of Excellence at Indie Fest.

Her most recent feature documentary, Fanarchy, screened at numerous international festivals including London SciFi, Comic Con San Diego, Fan Expo Toronto, STUFF Mexico and won Best Documentary at both the Nova Scotia Screen Awards and Boston SciFi.

Davies is a member of the Canadian Media Producers Association, Women in Film and Television Atlantic and Toronto and Screen Nova Scotia. She is the recipient of a 2018 Women in Film and Television Award for Best Director and a 2017 WAVE award for outstanding leadership and vision in the Atlantic Canadian Film industry.

Pamela Gallant

Video Editor

Pamela Gallant is a filmmaker and professional video editor with over twenty-five years’ experience. She has edited award-winning documentaries such as, Le Mystère d’Alzheimer, Herménégilde Chiasson: de ruptures en contraintes, Port-au-Port, La voisine, and Les Îles (nominated for a Gémeaux award). Specializing in documentaries of all lengths and genres, and short fictions, her work has been broadcast in Canada and internationally on such channels as, Discovery, Radio-Canada, Oxygen UK, NFB web, TéléQuébec, Bravo!, APTN, FR3 Fr, Wealth TV, Air Canada, Canal D, CTV, CBC, ARTV, and Travel & Leisure. Recently, she edited the fascinating one-hour science documentary, Decoding Life, for multi-award winning documentary filmmaker Donna Davies.

Originally from Prince Edward Island, Pamela studied filmmaking at the CEGEP of Saint-Jérôme and York University, followed by a three month intensive training with Venaco Productions in Paris, France. Pamela now resides in New Brunswick

Ann Bernier

Producer

Ann Bernier has been an independent producer since 1999. Ann was Director of Operations and Development at imX Communications Inc. which produced such award-winning coproduction films as Margaret’s Museum starring Helena Bonham Carter, Love and Death on Long Island starring John Hurt and Jason Priestly, New Waterford Girl. She was the Canadian Producer on Dominique Cabrera’s Folle Embellie. She produced The Wild Dogs by Thom Fitzgerald and the feature documentary Damage Done: The Drug War Odyssey. Ann was the Executive Producer on Rohan Fernando’s feature film Snow. She was co-producer on Donna Davies’ feature documentary film Fanarchy produced for TMN, HBO Canada and Epix. She was producer with John Walker on his feature documentary Quebec My Country Mon Pays for the documentary Channel and is working on John’s next film Assholes: A Theory.

She and her partner, Chris Zimmer are also developing a number of feature film projects including an international coproduction The Ordinary Seaman, an animation feature Koati and local feature Monica’s News.

Robert Zimmerman

Director of Photography

After graduating from New York University Film Institute, Robert began an extensive career that has spanned from theatrical productions, to TV commercials and documentaries. He has worked in the UK, Europe, Saudi Arabia, China, Mexico and across North America.

Robert has been based in Halifax, Nova Scotia since 1987. His credits include City of the Dead, JacknJill, Fanarchy, Pretty Bloody, Zombiemania, Nightmare Factory, and the Shadow Hunter series.

Neal Gaudet & Anne Crosby Gaudet

Composers

Neal Gaudet is a multi-instrumentalist musician and a post audio engineer with 28 years experience as a dialog editor, sound designer and re-recording mixer. A drummer at heart, Neal plays shows with a number of local bands.

Anne Crosby Gaudet is a classically trained pianist who teaches both piano and harp at her music studio in Bedford, Nova Scotia. She is a composer, independent music publisher and harp therapist.
